4-H Public Presentations
Public speaking is a valuable 4-H activity. Learning to plan and make a presentation develops confidence, self-esteem and enthusiasm for speaking in front of a group. Throughout the year, members get help from leaders or by attending a 4-H Presentation Workshop (offered at the 4-H Expo) to prepare a demonstration, an illustrated talk or a formal speech. Practice opportunities are available at club meetings or events, or at County or State Public Presentation programs where their work is judged.
